suggestion to keep or transfer status os frames “ in progress; review needed; approved " when creating a new version/copy of the previous version!
That will help keep a history of what happened/ knowing what changes happened. Or a history function of the changes??

Would you see this working as a toggle to copy the statuses over or not? Similar to how comments can be copied between versions?

So the user can decide to transfer/copy or not. Nice!
